Day 1-3 San José
Arrive in Costa Rica’s capital city and transfer to your hotel. Take the evening to relax or explore the historic city center, including cultural sites, cafés, and local markets. This day allows you to acclimatize and prepare for the adventure ahead. On Day 2 depart San José early for a day trip to Manuel Antonio NP via a scenic route along the Pacific coast, passing through tropical villages and palm plantations. Upon arrival, explore Manuel Antonio National Park with your guide: hike forest trails, spot monkeys, sloths, iguanas, birds, and more in a lush rainforest setting. Enjoy time relaxing on one of the park’s beautiful white-sand beaches, where the rainforest meets the ocean. Lunch is included, served at a local restaurant with views over the park or shoreline, giving you a taste of Costa Rican cuisine. After your beach and wildlife time, return to San José with memories of both nature and coastal charm.

Day 3-5 Tamarindo
Head to the northwest Pacific coast and arrive in Tamarindo, a laid-back beach town with golden sands and warm waters. Afternoon at leisure to relax on the beach, swim, or explore the town. On Day 4 a full day to enjoy Tamarindo your way. Choose from a catamaran cruise, surfing lesson, snorkeling adventure, or mangrove kayaking. Relax on the beach or enjoy sunset views from a beachfront restaurant.

Day 5 Monteverde
Travel inland to the misty highlands of Monteverde, renowned for its lush cloud forest and incredible biodiversity. Upon arrival, embark on a guided walk along winding trails and suspended hanging bridges, immersing yourself in the magical atmosphere of the forest canopy. Marvel at the vibrant hummingbirds, slow-moving sloths, and delicate orchids thriving in this unique ecosystem, while your guide shares insights about the flora, fauna, and conservation efforts. Day 6 La Fortuna & Arenal Volcano
Transfer to La Fortuna, home to Costa Rica’s iconic Arenal Volcano. Embark on a full-day exploration starting with the Hanging Bridges, where you walk across a series of suspension bridges soaring above the rainforest canopy. Continue to Arenal Volcano National Park, walking along volcanic rock fields, lava viewpoints, and lush jungle trails with perfect views of the cone-shaped giant. Finish at La Fortuna Waterfall, descending into a lush canyon where a powerful cascade plunges into emerald pools—perfect for swimming and photography.
Day 7 La Fortuna
Today invites you to dive deeper into the natural wonders of Arenal with your choice of one signature experiences:
Opt for Rainforest Hike, set out along lush jungle trails at the base of the volcano, where towering trees drip with vines, orchids cling to branches, and the calls of toucans echo through the canopy. Your naturalist guide reveals hidden details of the ecosystem—medicinal plants, tracks from nocturnal mammals, and volcanic formations shaped by ancient eruptions.
If you opt for River Rafting, spend an exhilarating day navigating the warm tropical waters of one of Arenal’s jungle rivers. Paddle through rolling rapids framed by dense rainforest, with frequent pauses to drift peacefully along calmer sections. Keep your eyes open for monkeys leaping between branches, iguanas sunning on rocks, vibrant kingfishers hunting along the riverbank, and majestic ceiba trees rising high above the water.
